The Hans Brandenburg car dealership has already been established in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area for over 50 years. In doing so, the family business looks back on a history of permanent growth and digital development. It was not until 2020 that the BMW and Mini dealer expanded its brand portfolio and introduced Kia as an additional brand at the Hilden site. The company now employs 245 people at seven locations and sells around 4,000 new and used cars annually to end customers and dealers.

Following the successful start in the B2B auction business, the cooperation was extended to private banking as a second step. The common goal of the cooperation is to simplify the entire process management relating to car sales. Sascha Niebel, sales manager for new cars at BMW Hans Brandenburg, draws a positive balance: “bezahl.de simplifies our daily payment process with customers and is easy for users to use.” Before the introduction of bezahl.de, it was often unclear whether the vehicle had been paid for by the customer on the day of delivery. Sales employees therefore often had to consult the accounting department to determine whether incoming payments had already been recorded. Especially when a delivery took place over the weekend or in the evening, this was not always possible, which resulted in disputes with customers. It was not always possible to confirm whether a payment was received and the invoice was paid in full — recalls Sascha Niebel.

Maximum transparency with 24/7 live payment status

Thanks to bezahl.de, Hans Brandenburg employees can now view the payment status of all receivables at any time — without time delays and manual communication such as calls to the accounting department. This option of independent, independent control meant that employees accepted the system quickly and easily. Customers also benefit from the highly transparent process, as they always know when they have what amount to pay. Payment confirmation in particular leads to a positive experience. “Especially in the automotive trade, the sums for customers are significantly higher than a normal transfer. They would like to know whether the money they have transferred has also arrived safely,” Sascha Niebel explains. Confirmation to the customer ensures security and understanding here.

Easy integration into the existing system landscape

The seamless integration of bezahl.de into Hans Brandenburg's system landscape was an important milestone in the cooperation and worked very well. The close cooperation and support during the implementation of bezahl.de was rated as very helpful by Sascha Niebel: “We discussed the sales process in detail with our provider easy-car-sales and bezahl.de to identify which interfaces need to be transferred and how.” The seller now has the option of creating a settlement sheet which is approved by the sales manager before sending the payment invitation so that he receives a transparent overview of all payments to be made. Both the approval process and the handling of payment modalities have been significantly simplified by the integration of bezahl.de.

Another success factor of the successful cooperation between the two companies is the excellent and uncomplicated cooperation. “Right from the start, we were always very closely supported in our day-to-day business. This means that if we ever had a problem with a transaction or if there were questions from customers or employees, the bezahl.de team always supported us,” confirms Sascha Niebel. This includes both support with technical issues and pure feedback on the existing process.
