AUTOLEVY is driving the digitalization of the industry forward with bezahl.de.

AUTOLEVY GmbH & Co. KG has been established in the Rhineland for 49 years. The second-generation family business has developed over the years into a modern and future-oriented company. The Toyota and Lexus dealer now employs around 230 people at five locations in NRW and sells around 5,400 new and used cars annually. Digitalization and permanent growth are important drivers of success — two more AUTOLEVY locations are therefore to open in Neuss and Mönchengladbach over the course of the year.

Manual administration costs a lot of time and resources

Continuous growth also requires increased administrative expenses. Before the introduction of bezahl.de, this tied up a relatively large number of resources both in time and capacity. “When customers made payments but made no reference to the invoice or order number in terms of reference, there were a relatively large number of coordination attempts between employees”, explains Yvonne Metzen, Head of Sales and Marketing at AUTOLEVY GmbH & Co. KG. For example, it was more common that payments could not be assigned by the accounting department due to an incorrect purpose, even though a customer had already paid. The search for receipt of payment and the reason for the lack of allocation began. The sellers had to check with the accounting department about the receipt of payment and were in a queue with the customer at the same time, which tied up a lot of working time and energy.

Digital process creates certainty and saves enormous time

Thanks to bezahl.de's digital process, many manual and time-consuming tasks have been superfluous. With AUTOLEVY Among other things, there is now maximum transparency about every payment status. ”Of course, we have a big advantage with the virtual IBAN, which every customer receives via their payment invitation, as we can assign a payment directly to the customer and order — regardless of what the customer mentions in the purpose of payment“, explains Yvonne Metzen. Employees in the branches also have the option of using the bezahl.de dashboard to check for themselves whether a payment has been received and whether a customer has settled their claim. There is therefore no longer any need for tedious repetitive reconciliations.

Good cooperation in the implementation process

A successful process change requires good cooperation between the parties involved so that the new processes are introduced and accepted sustainably. CARLEVY rates the implementation process of bezahl.de as very successful overall:”We were supported very well and closely by bezahl.de, i.e. in onboarding employees but of course also in downstream processes. “The educational work of employees was identified as an important factor. You are asked to explain the downstream process to the customer during a consultation or sales conversation and to point out the cooperation with bezahl.de. This interaction has meant that the car dealership's customers regard the innovative payment process as completely normal and appreciate the flexibility of the digital path. In particular, the ability to pay invoices completely contactlessly using a selection of different payment methods such as credit card, PayPal or direct payment, as well as the receipt of a proactive payment confirmation, is rated as progress by customers. According to Ms. Metzen, the collaboration with DMS provider Procar Informatik also worked very well, because Procar was on board right from the start and one or the other requirement for our individual processes could be solved relatively quickly in good cooperation with everyone.”

Since May 2021, AUTO has been usingLEVY Even in automotive service on the digital processes of bezahl.de. For the retail group, smartkasse is a successful addition to the local digital process. It makes it easier for customers to pay on site at the car dealership, as they can easily pay at the cash register using the QR code from their payment invitation. Of course, this gives employees the opportunity to use their freed up time resources elsewhere. ”For us, smartkasse is another benefit for customers in making the process more effective and optimal on site!“, affirms Ms. Metzen.
